We all need God’s Wisdom. God’s Wisdom will help us to make the right decisions in life. The absolute best source for obtaining God’s Wisdom is found in several passages in the bible.
Go to Ephesians 1:16-23 here Paul says in verse 16 I cease not to make mention of you in my Prayers. He is praying for the saints in Ephesus. In verse 17 he is praying that God gives them the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the Knowledge of Him. That the eyes of their understanding being enlightened: that they may know the hope of His calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. In Ephesians 3:14-20 Paul continues his prayer and in verse 16 asking God to grant them according to the riches of His glory that they be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man and in verse 20 that these prayers would produce exceedingly abundantly above all that they could ask or think according to the power that works in them.
What a Prayer!
Since this is a New Testament Prayer and Paul is praying for New Testament Saints. We can use this same Prayer for Wisdom.
In Colossians 1:9-13 is a similar Prayer for Wisdom. Here Paul is Praying for the Saints in Colossae ln verse 9 Paul says I desire that you be filled with the knowledge of His will in all Wisdom and Spiritual understanding; that you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthened with might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience, and longsuffering with joyfulness, giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us able to be partakers of the Inheritance of the saints in light: who has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of his dear son.
These two Prayers are Holy Spirit written and inspired Prayers. We should Pray these Prayers for ourselves and our Family and Loved Ones.
I know from experience that these Prayers if you Pray them consistently over a Period of Time will COMPLETELY CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
As you Pray these Prayers for Wisdom. The Holy Spirit will speak to you and show you things and enlighten your understanding about things you didn’t know. And it will transform your life!
God is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omni-Present!
Omniscient means “ALL KNOWING”, Infinite Awareness, Understanding and Insight.
Omnipotent means “ALL POWERFUL” and able to do anything.
Omni-present means “GOD IS EVERYWHERE AT THE SAME TIME”.
Since God is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omni-Present he can surely give you the Wisdom you need to:
1-Solve any Personal Problem you have.
2-Give you Wisdom in Business the World does not have.
3-Give you an Idea or Insight to give you a Breakthrough.
However, first of all above all these things God wants you committed to Him.
Jesus said, in Mark 8:36 “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
If you are fully committed to God.
His Wisdom is yours!
An example of this is in Genesis Chapter 39 when Joseph was falsely imprisoned.
In Genesis Chapter 41 Pharoah had a dream but he did not know what it meant or what was the interpretation.
God gave Joseph wisdom and the interpretation through a dream.
The interpretation was there was coming 7 years of Prosperity and 7 years of Famine.
Egypt was to store up food during the 7 years of Prosperity so when the 7 years of Famine came they would have plenty of food.
Joseph gave Pharoah the Interpretation and Joseph went from the Prison to the Palace in 1 day! All because God gave him Wisdom!
Another example is in Daniel Chapter 2. King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream he did not understand and it troubled him.
No one on his staff could interpret it. Verse 18 says “Daniel sought God concerning this secret.” Verse 19 says “the secret was revealed to Daniel in a Night Vision.”
In Verse 20 Daniel said, “Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for Wisdom and might are His.”
Verse 27 & 28 Daniel said, “God reveals the deep and secret things”… “the King’s staff was not able to give the interpretation but there is a God in heaven who
reveals secrets”…
The secret had to do with what was going to come to pass in the last days.
If you want God’s Wisdom first of all make sure you have FULLY COMMITTED YOUR LIFE TO HIM and then all His promises are yours.
Seek His Wisdom in Prayer consistently and wholeheartedly and your answer will be REVEALED to you too!
