In Acts 2:22 it says Jesus did Miracles, Signs and Wonders.
What is a Miracle? It has been defined as Divine Intervention into human affairs. My definition is Heaven coming down to Earth.
What is a Sign? Something that confirms that God is who He says He is. A Sign is something that only God can do.
Matthew 12:38-42 says Jonah living three days and nights in a Big Fish’s belly was a Sign from God. Jesus Resurrection was a Sign from God. Isaiah 7:14 says Jesus born of a virgin was a Sign from God. John 2:1-11 says Jesus turning water to wine was a Sign from God. John 4:46-54 says when the Nobleman’s son was healed it was a Sign from God. John 11:38-47 says Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead was a Sign from God.
What are Wonders? The hebrew word for wonders is something that is unusual or extraordinary. The greek word for wonders is something strange or causing the beholder to marvel.
A Sign appeals to our Understanding. A Wonder appeals to our Imagination.
Exodus 15:1-11 is called Moses Song because this is what the Children of Israel were singing after God delivered them from Egypt and they crossed the Red Sea on dry land. In verse 11 they said this was God doing Wonders.
Joshua 3:5-17 tells about God doing something similar where He held back the Jordan River and Israel crossed on dry ground. In verse 5 this was called a Wonder.
In Daniel Chapter 3 God delivered Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from the Fiery furnace. In Chapter 4 verse 2-3 this was called a Wonder.
In Joel 2:28-32 it mentions God will do Wonders in the heavens and in the earth.
Some people say can you prove that God exist? Miracles,Signs and Wonders are proof God exist.
