A few words about us
From 1990-1999 we had a Evangelist Ministry a team of 20 people that held services in Spokane and various places throughout the State of Washington.
Hundreds of people received Salvation, were filled with the Holy Spirit, Healed and Delivered from Life controlling addictions all to the glory of God!
In 1999 our Church was founded and some of the people in the Evangelist Ministry came to work in our Church. The public announcement came during a concert that Pastor Otis Manning hosted to bless the City of Spokane featuring Gospel Music Singer Helen Baylor.
People came from all over and filled up and packed out the Maribeau Hotel in Spokane Valley.
From the first Sunday up until today Pastor Otis Manning has led the congregation to be a People of Purpose, Passion and Praise unto God.
Word of Faith Christian Center desires to help believers find their God given destiny and Purpose.
Then through the Word of God to teach the believer to fulfill their purpose with Passion.
Last, to encourage the believer to give all the Praise back to God.
Over the years Word of Faith Christian Center has encouraged the Body of Christ in Spokane to give God all the Praise through City Wide Free Concerts featuring Gospel Artists such as: Candi Staton, Beau Williams, (The late) Jessy Dixon, Vickie Winans and Alvin Slaughter.
Our Church started in the Northeast Community Center and now we are located in the Village Square Complex at 9212 E. Montgomery Ave Suite 202 Spokane Valley, WA 99206
Our Mission Statement
What we believe and teach is:
- The triune God: The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ is true God and true man.
- The Holy is a Divine Person.
- All Scripture is given by the inspiration of God.
- All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God and are in need of salvation.
- Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all mankind.
- Every Believer is “born” of the Spirit of God and some Believers are “filled” with the Spirit of God.
- Healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every Believer.
- The Church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
- There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust.
- We believe in the personal,visible,imminent return of Jesus Christ.
- Believe in water baptism and observance of the Lord’s Supper.
Founder Bio
A few words about our founder and current Pastor, Pastor Otis Manning
Pastor Manning has studied Economics and attended California State University at Los Angeles with a Major in Business Administration.
Otis Manning began Ministry under the leadership of (the late) Dr. Frederick K.C Price of Crenshaw Christian Center in Los Angeles, California.
His Ministry Training included but was not limited to Evangelist Ministry and Personal Counseling.
After yielding and responding to the Leading of the Holy Spirit and moving to Spokane, Washington and joining a local congregation Otis continued in the Ministry of Evangelism.
After a season Otis was formally licensed into the Ministry and established The Word of Faith Christian Center and has Pastored the Word of Faith for 22 years.
Pastor Manning also serves on the Board of Directors of the Spokane Ministers Fellowship.
Pastor Manning is also the Author of the Book “How You Can Be Led by The Spirit of God!” Published by Barnes and Noble.
Otis and Jarretta Manning are CELEBRATING 41 Years of MARRIAGE!
We have two Beautiful daughters Olyvia and Prosparetti. Olyvia has a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Whitworth University and is a Licensed Minister of the Gospel. Prosparetti has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Whitworth University and is a small Business Owner.
We have two grandchildren Nevaeh, who is 11 years old, and Beckham who is 2 years old. Our Son in Laws are Alfonso and Brandon. Alfonso has a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Management from Whitworth University and works for a Global Media and Technology Company.
Staff
JARRETTA MANNING
Jarretta Manning has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Development. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. She also has a Child Development Associate (CDA) from the National Credentialing Program.
Her passion has always been loving, nurturing, and compassion toward children and their well being, helping them along to develop into well adjusted and productive caring adults.
She has worked as Children Church Minister at Word of Faith Christian Center for many years.
She sits on the Board of Directors of the Southeast Day Care Center and a member of the The League of Women for Community Action (LWCA).
Jarretta is a wife, mother, grandmother, and First Lady of Word of Faith Christian Center.
Pastor Dennis Reinbold
Dennis is the Associate Pastor of the Word of Faith Christian Center.
He also Leads a Intercessory Prayer Group for the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Native Americans.
Dennis also serves on the Board of Directors and Leads a Men’s Devotional Time for a Assembly of God Church.
Carole Shook, Music Minister
Carole Shook is the Music Minister of the Word of Faith Christian Center. Carole’s leads our Praise & Worship Team The Voices of Faith.
Accompanied by Keyboard Player & Singer Rhonda Hawkins and
Keyboard Player & Singer Elizabeth Betts.
Carole leads the Music Ministry in Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs as they all sing with grace in their hearts to the Lord according to Colossians 3:16.

Betty is a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Lionel Caines
Lionel contributes to the Word of Faith Christian Center his Executive Management Experience of 28 ½ years with the City and County of Los Angeles where he managed 300 Employees and also 10 Years of Ministry Counseling Experience.
