NEW BOOK! How shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?

Prayer

Prayer is communication with God. Prayer should be a Dialogue not a Monologue. In a Monologue you are the only one talking. In a Dialogue both you and God are talking.

When we Pray we should Pray to the Father in the Name of Jesus. Then when we are finished Praying we should be quiet and listen. While we are quiet that gives God an opportunity to speak back to us. During our quiet time while we are waiting to hear from God. He may speak back to us then or later. Or He may speak to us in various ways. Through His Word. Through other People. Through Dreams.

The primary way He speaks to us is through our spirit. Proverbs 20:27 says: The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly. A candle gives light to a room. Well God will give us light or illumination or wisdom and direction through our spirit. We need to become God Inside Minded. Yes God is in heaven but if you have accepted Jesus Christ has your Savior you are Born of the Spirit and God will speak to you primarily through your spirit.

In Matthew 6:9-13 we find the Lord’s Prayer. He says: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. They will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom. And the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Wow! What a Prayer!

There is no sickness in heaven. There is no disease in heaven. There is no poverty in heaven. There is no bondage in heaven.

Jesus wants us to live in the earth just like the people live in heaven. He just said “thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.” We have to live close to Jesus in order to live in the earth like people are living in heaven!

In Matthew 14:23 it says when evening came Jesus was alone Praying. It implies he had been praying for some time and when evening came he was still Praying. In Mark 1:35 it says Jesus rose a long time before daylight. In Mark 6:46-47 it says he departed to a mountain to Pray. In Luke 5:16 Jesus often withdrew into the wilderness to Pray. Often means it was a routine,a practice and a custom. It is something he did all the time. In Luke 6:12-19 Jesus continued All Night in Prayer to God! In Luke 22:39-46 Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane Praying before his Crucifixion. All 4 Gospels record Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane but only Luke records Jesus sweating blood. This was a condition called Hematidrosis which happens when a person is under severe stress and it causes the blood vessels to burst into sweat. Jesus loved us so much he endured this for us.

Acts 6:1-4 says the Disciples decided they needed to choose deacons to take care of some of the things of the ministry in the Early Church so they could devote and give themselves to Prayer and the Ministry of the Word. I thought it was interesting it did not say Study and the Ministry of the Word. But Prayer and the Ministry of the Word. They put PRAYER FIRST.

In Hebrew 5:5-9 it says Jesus Prayed with supplications and Vehement Prayers which is a Forceful, Grievous, Passionate and Intense Prayer.

We can see that from all of the above scriptures Jesus Prayer Life was absolutely AMAZING! No one had ever lived their life like Jesus did. He was the supreme example to us in every way and including our Prayer Life!

There are two ways to Pray Effectively. They are Pray in Tongues and Pray the Scriptures. Romans 8:26-27 says, the Spirit helps our infirmities : for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because he makes intercession for the saints according to the WILL OF GOD. If you want the Will of God Pray in Tongues!

Another way to Pray Effectively is Pray the Scriptures. We know the Scriptures is the Will of God. The New Testament is called the Last Will and Testament of the Lord Jesus Christ. God has placed in His Word Prayers for every area of Life.

Psalm 122:6-9 is a Prayer for Israel. It says in verses 6,7 & 8 we should Pray for their Peace. And in verse 6 it says  they shall prosper that love thee. God wants us to Pray for Israel because Israel is His land and they are His people.

First Timothy 2:1-4 is a Prayer for our Leaders. Most of us all agree that our Leaders need all the Prayer they can get. This passage says if we Pray for them it will lead us into a quiet and peaceful life. God did not tell us we had to agree with our Leaders but he did say we should Pray for them.

Matthew 16:19 is the Prayer of Binding and Loosing. We should bind the devils forces and loose our angels everyday over our lives and family and loved ones. What ever we bind on the earth is bound in heaven. And whatever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven. The word heaven is referring to the spirit world because in heaven where God lives nothing needs to be bound. This Prayer will keep God’s Angels working for you and keep the devils demons bound!

Psalm 91:1-15  is the most Powerful Prayer in the Bible for Protection. I especially love verse 10 it says, There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. All of these Prayers I pray daily. This Prayer has protected me from Airline crashes, Automobile crashes, Protected our Home and countless other ways. I cannot recommend it enough!

Psalm 103:1-5 covers healing. In verse 3 he heals all our diseases. In verse 4 he delivers us from destruction. In verse 5 he renews our youth like the eagles. I Pray this daily asking God to flow through every cell in my body from the top of my head to the soles of my feet with his healing power and renew my youth like the eagles. Every time I get my Physical Exam my Doctor usually just says see you next year. My wife and I are in our 60’s and on no medications. and in excellent health. I contribute that to eating healthy, exercise and asking God daily to renew my youth like the eagles!

Genesis 6:3 is a promise where God says He will give us 120 years of life on this earth. It is an amazing promise. Few ever reach it. However, as one man put it “if my goal is to shoot for the stars and I only reach the moon that is pretty good too!”  Meaning if you do not make it to 120 years old but you get close that is still a long life!

Isaish 54:13-17 is another Prayer for Protection. In verse 13 it says great is the peace of our children. What a great prayer for our Children! Verse 14 says we will be FAR from oppression, fear and terror. Most people live in oppression, fear and terror but we have a promise it is FAR from us! And in verse 17 NO WEAPON formed against us will prosper!

Luke 10:19 says, we can trample over demonic forces and NOTHING shall by any means hurt us!

Ephesians 1:16-23 and 3:14-20 and Colossians 1:9-13 are Prayers for Wisdom. We all need God’s Wisdom and this is how to obtain it. In Ephesians 1;17 it says to ask for a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. In Ephesians 3:16 it says we are asking to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in our inner man. In Colossians 1:9 we are asking to be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.

These are all of my Daily Prayers that I Pray.

I first of all, start off by Worshipping God and Praying in Tongues and listening to God. Then I go into these Prayers. If you do the same God will take you a Journey of a Lifetime!
